New from 7 September 2026
From 7 September you no longer send us invoices. We issue the invoice for your completed gigs on your behalf and pay it out automatically. Everything you need to know is here.
Sun, 6 September
For every gig you complete by 23:59, you send us your invoice as before.
Thu, 10 September
By then your company and tax details should be in the driver app.
Fri, 11 September
From here we issue your credit note every Friday and pay it out automatically.
From Monday 7 September you no longer write us invoices. We issue the invoice for your completed gigs on your behalf and pay it to your bank account automatically.
This is called a Gutschrift (self-billing, settlement by the recipient of the service, §14 (2) German VAT Act). It takes away the invoice writing, the invoice numbers, adding up the amounts yourself and keeping track of what has been paid.
You can stay on self-invoicing. Your driver profile records how we settle with you: by credit note or as a self-invoicing driver. In the week starting 7 September we switch all drivers to credit notes. If you would rather keep writing your own invoices, let us know and we will set your profile back. Your payouts then run outside the automatic process, as before.
They get paid as normal. Everything you complete by Sunday 6 September, 23:59 and invoice to us runs to the end under the old process.
Yes. You get a credit note and the payout for your last completed gigs as usual.
Friday to Friday. Every Friday we build your credit note from all gigs completed since the last run.
A gig still running on Friday goes into that credit note if it is completed before the run. Otherwise it is in next week's. Same for expenses: whatever misses the Friday run lands in the next credit note.
At the latest 14 days after you complete the gig, at best considerably sooner.
Worst case: you complete a gig just after the Friday run. It then only appears in the credit note 7 days later, and payment follows another 7 days after that.
Best case: you complete just before the run and approve the credit note in the app. You are then paid at the latest 7 days after completion.
After 7 days the credit note counts as approved and moves to payment automatically. So if everything is correct, you do not have to do anything.
No, there is not. The rhythm is fixed: credit note on Friday, 7 days to review, then payment.
What you can do yourself: approve the credit note in the app as soon as you have checked it. It then skips the review period and goes into the next payment run.

The account stored in your company details in the driver app. That is also where you change it.

Yes. Gig fees, expenses, bonuses and deductions all sit on the same credit note, each as its own line. So one document shows you how the amount is made up.
Raise an objection in the app and describe what is wrong. Our finance team looks at it and corrects the credit note.
One thing to know: gigs and expenses that were only completed or approved after the credit note was issued are not missing. They move into next week's credit note automatically, so they need no objection.
In the app: Konto → Gutschriften → Widersprechen
We handle it as fast as we can. An objection always applies to the whole credit note: while it is open, none of it moves to payment, not even the undisputed lines.
So it pays to say right away what the issue is. The clearer the note, the faster the correction is through.
That can still be corrected, just get in touch. It is much easier for everyone if you go through the credit note within the 7 days.
Because we issue the invoice in your name, and we apply exactly the status you enter in the app. If a credit note states VAT that you are not entitled to charge, you owe it to the tax office anyway (§14c German VAT Act).
So before you save, check that your tax details and VAT status really match your business. If in doubt, ask your tax advisor.

First correct your company details in the app. Then raise an objection for the affected credit note and briefly describe what was wrong.
We replace the affected credit notes with new ones carrying the correct VAT treatment. The old ones are superseded.
No. For small businesses no VAT lines appear at all, just a single amount.
For standard-rated businesses the credit note shows net, VAT and gross separately.
Either can work. Enter whichever applies to your business.
Yes. The credit note carries every mandatory invoice detail, so it is your document for bookkeeping and your VAT return.
We issue it in ZUGFeRD format, the e-invoicing format that becomes mandatory in 2027 anyway. Your tax advisor can read it in directly.
Every credit note reaches you by email. On top of that, all of them, including older ones, sit in the driver app.
In the app: Konto → Gutschriften
Enter the change in your company details as soon as it takes effect. Every credit note from that point is then correct automatically.
If past credit notes need correcting, update the company details first, then raise an objection for the affected credit note with a short explanation.
Nothing is lost. Your payouts stay pending until your company details are complete, and then go into the next credit note run.
The sooner you enter them, the sooner you are paid.
In the app: Konto → Unternehmen und Abrechnung
Yourself, any time, in the driver app. Changes apply to every credit note issued after that.

The company form does not matter. If you operate through a GmbH or UG, enter that company's billing and banking details in the same form sole traders use.
If you use subcontractors, your credit notes are issued and paid as normal. Paying your subcontractors is your own responsibility.
